Come ready to learn!
This Grand Canyon Tour begins in Las Vegas, Nevada. The group departs from here at 7am on the first day of the tour.
We begin by visiting pre-Flood rock at the place where Flood rocks begin. This will be followed by a hike over Garnet hill. These rocks are found all over the world, but never with fossils in them. Why? These rocks existed before the flood.
After spending some time digging for trilobites, we head towards lake Mead to learn about Desert Varnish and natural concrete (caliche). After a crisp and healthy lunch, we’ll head to the Techatticup Gold mine for a step back in time to the heyday of gold and silver. Modern science teaches that gold is formed in a hydrothermal process, when hot fluids rich in minerals move through rocks. Russ and Dean help explore a microbial answer as we walk the tunnels formed by miners. Also, they will demonstrate the piezoelectric effect of quartz found inside the mine.
We’ll overnight in Tusayan — just outside the Grand Canyon.
This day starts early, well before the sun comes up. We’ll head to Mather Point along the beautiful South Rim of the Grand Canyon to enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the canyon. This is always an incredible moment as the Canyon comes into view and the shadows depart the deep ravines! Modern science explains the formation of the Grand Canyon taking millions of years. Russ and Dean demonstrate how the many layers were created quickly during the flood. This monumental geography is a result of the Pacific Plate pushing up under the North American plate in a post-flood dramatic event, not the Colorado River over millennia.
After a morning of discovery, we’ll have authentic Navajo Tacos at the Trading Post of Tanner’s Crossing, before heading to the historic Sunset Crater Volcano. Along the way we’ll also visit the ruins of the Anasazi people who lived there long ago.
Depending on weather, we sometimes have an opportunity to view the night sky through a telescope after checking into our Flagstaff hotel.
Today we head to Walnut Canyon to walk along Kaibab Limestone paths trod by ancient cliff-dwellers. After we explore these paths, we will move down towards the incredible Arizona Crater.
The Arizona Crater is the most studied crater in the world! We will walk the rim, examining the Coconino Sandstone as well as the local Moenkopi rocks, and especially, the pure-white silica that originated deep inside the Earth. Despite much evidence to the contrary, the crater is promoted as a meteor crater. Russ and Dean will help us understand how the evidence indicates this is a hydro-fountain, one of many on the earth, that show the true mechanism of the universal flood.
Our last night will be in Holbrook, a place where you can browse endless rows of petrified wood and other treasures for sale.
Petrified Forest is the capstone of this knowledge-packed tour. Morning will have us walking among the giants, trees hundreds of feet in the length scattered across the landscape. It is important to point out that no one has ever found partially petrified wood. As we view the landscape of this Painted Desert, we will consider how forests of trees would have been knocked down as the flooding began, then quickly covered in mud, and finally subjected to tremendous pressure as the water depth increased to thousands of feet. Today we have beautiful rainbow colored rocks as evidence of a Universal Flood.
By mid-day, we’ll visit Newspaper Rock and their famous petroglyphs before heading home.
Hopefully you’ll be filled with the awesomeness of God’s creation.
We plan to arrive back in Las Vegas, Nevada at about 8pm on the final day of the tour.
Payment Terms: $300 pp deposit required at the time of booking. Final payment is due 90 days before departure.
