Day 1 - Oct 25th

Depart Home for Egypt!

Our adventure begins as we depart from home and head to Egypt!

Day 2 – Oct 26th

Arrival at Cairo International Airport. We will fill out an Egyptian Entry Card, and meet
at the visa and customs procedures. Transfer to our hotel, and check-in for
dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Oct 27th

3 great pyramids and 3 smaller pyramids Giza Egypt


Breakfast, then travel to ancient Egypt with a full day of touring the wonders of the ancient world, some of which date back 1000+ years prior to Abraham. We spend time at one of the seven wonders of the world The Pyramids of Giza. Cheops, with an original height of 496 feet, is the most colossal pyramid ever built. You will have an opportunity to go inside both Khufu (largest pyramid) and Khafre (the second largest pyramid). Of course no visit to an ancient pyramid would be complete without a camel ride. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Oct 28th


Breakfast and transfer to the airport for our 75 minute flight to Aswan. There, we will visit Philae Temple dedicated to the Goddess Isis. We will then take a boat ride to Elephantine Island, a possible site of where Jesus and his family stayed and visit an ancient quarry, the source of many obelisks, temples and pyramids. Afterwards will board our cruise ship for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Oct 29th

With a Breakfast Box we drive through the Nubian desert to Abu Simbel, to visit to the majestic temples of Ramses and his wife Nefertari. We then drive back to Aswan. Lunch onboard our cruise ship as we sail to Kom Ombo. Arrival and visit to the Temple Kom Ombo dedicated to the Gods Horus and Sobek. Back to our ship for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Oct 30th


Breakfast then a visit to the temple of Edfu by horse carriage. Edfu is a
temple dedicated to Horus and is one of the best preserved shrines in Egypt. We then
return to the ship and sail towards Luxor via Esna Lock. We will enjoy lunch onboard the
ship and after our arrival in Luxor, we will visit the temple of Luxor while it’s illuminated.
Dinner and overnight onboard.

Day 7 – Oct 31st


Breakfast and disembarkation from our cruise. We will drive to see Denderah, the Temple dedicated to the Goddess Hathor and Abydos. Abydos was one of the most important religious sites in ancient Egypt. At least once in their lifetime, ancient Egyptians would have hopes to visit Abydos; which for them was strongly connected to the afterlife. We will see the Temple of Seti I and the Temple of Osiris. Return to Luxor to check into our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8  – Nov 1st

Breakfast then we are off to a visit of the west bank of the Nile and the
Valley of the Kings, where we will visit 3 tombs. On the way we will see the Colossi of
Memnon and then visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut a woman Pharaoh. Free
time in Luxor to shop or see the sites. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – Nov 2nd

Optional Hot Air Balloon Ride then breakfast. Visit to the Valley of the Queens
to see the Tomb of Nefertari, the wife of Ramses ll. This tomb is called the Sistine
Chapel of Egypt. Then a visit to Medinet Habu, a site with a mortuary temple dedicated
to Ramesses lll, and lastly a temple dedicated to Amun. Flight to Cairo. Dinner and overnight in Cairo.

Day 10 – Nov 3rd

Breakfast, then visit to Sakkara Pyramid and the tomb of Unas; Egyptian
Museum and a visit to Abu Serga, the traditional Church of Jesus and his Holy Family.
Dinner, then sound and light show at the Pyramids. Overnight at hotel.

Depart Cairo to return home

Rod Meldrum

Rod L. Meldrum is a researcher, best-selling LDS author, and international lecturer on the validity of the Book of Mormon with an emphasis on its scriptural and physical evidences. His book titled, “Exploring the Book of Mormon in America’s Heartland” is the #1 LDS Book about Book of Mormon geography with over 40,000 printed. He began guiding this Book of Mormon Chronology Tour in 2018.


Rod has also written a book titled “Prophecies and Promises; The Book of Mormon and the USA.” This book outlines the 36 Prophecies and Promises that clearly identify the United States as the location of the ‘Promised Land’ of the Latter-days. It has been called a “stunning” new insight on geography research and provides historical evidence that documents containing Joseph Smith’s words, writings, and actions were consistent with the prophecies & promises of the Book of Mormon. He also served for seven years as the senior scientific researcher on the book titled, “Universal Model” by Dean Sessions, a natural sciences textbook. The first volume of over 800 pages was just printed in 2017 and volume two will be printed in 2018, with volume three to follow. It’s over 2,500 pages of “New Millennial Science.”


He began his study of issues surrounding the controversy over DNA and the Book of Mormon in 2003 which led to a study of the origins of proposed geographical settings of the Book of Mormon. In addition, he has spent years of intensive study of the Book of Mormon itself and the historical background and documents associated with it. He is passionate about sharing his research of the Book of Mormon Chronology with others. 


Mr. Meldrum has given several hundred presentations across the United States, Canada and internationally and has shared his research and findings in support of the Book of Mormon and the gospel of Jesus Christ with hundreds of thousands of members and non-members alike. Mr. Meldrum has been conducting tours to the Heartland of America since 2010, educating guests at museums, sacred native American sites, and other archaeological sites dating to the time period of the Book of Mormon Chronology.


He founded his organization, The FIRM Foundation (Foundation for Indigenous Research and Mormonism), in 2008 which today comprises ten boards with more than 200 board members and over 40,000 LDS newsletter recipients. The FIRM Foundation sponsors two International Book of Mormon Evidence Expos and Conferences annually with additional regional conferences and events throughout the country and around the world bringing together dozens of the top LDS speakers for thousands of Latter-day Saints.

Mr. Meldrum’s research has blessed and enhanced the lives of thousands and increased their faith in the divine authenticity of the Book of Mormon, the prophetic role of the Prophet Joseph Smith, and a renewed understanding of the sacred covenants with God on His Promised Lands. 


He and his wife, Tonya, are the parents of four children. He is a fifth-generation member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, served a mission in Milan, Italy, has served faithfully in many church leadership callings, and currently lives in Provo, Utah.
