Mike Day grew up in Modesto, California. After his mission in Chicago he met his wife Sonia at Weber State University. Their family has grown to include four sons, their wonderful wives, and treasured grandchildren. Mike co-hosts the podcast Talking Scripture, and makes regular appearances on the Stick of Joseph channel as well. Mike firmly believes that the Book of Mormon is exactly what it claims to be. He has a deep appreciation for the complexities of the Bible and finds great fulfillment in exploring its original languages and ancient cultural contexts with others.
Mike Day is passionate about teaching scripture and has been an instructor for Seminaries & Institutes of Religion since 1993. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Utah in World Languages and Cultures, Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies, with an emphasis on Classical Greek and Biblical Hebrew.
